The Heart is a book of Inspirational Poetry that deals with the situations we all face in everyday life. For some of us situations continue to stand in our way. For others, right when we feel that everything is going well something else happens. We begin to wonder ‘how much more can I take?’ How many times have we given thanks to God when everything is going well? Of course we all find Him when things are not going so good.

 PFTH is taken from some of my most personal situations where I cried out for help but no one answered.  I never allowed myself to see how powerful prayer and faith was until I decided not to rush God and allowed Him to work at his own pace. We are so impatient sometimes that we put our problems in our own hands when God already has the answer, but we can’t humble ourselves long enough to wait for that answer.

The definition of faith is belief in that which you cannot see. But sometimes because we can’t see it or put our hands on it we tend to question its existence. How many times have you asked yourself ‘why do we go through what we go through in relationships, with friends, with family, with jobs and with spirituality?’ How many times has your belief in God fluctuated? How many times have you asked God why, and most of all, why me?

This world we live in obviously isn’t perfect by far because we were born into an imperfect world, a world of sin. But God has given us a powerful tool that no man can ever take away and that is belief in Him. I have taken many of my experiences along with the word of God and hopefully have answered many questions that continue to elude us. I hope that through my poetry in Poured From The Heart, God used me to answer many of your questions about situations in your life. True understanding however, we all know, comes through God by studying His word and praying.
